Transplants - I've never bought a privet (and couldn't if I wanted to)

This decent size plant was dug up in a neighbor's yard...I don't really need any more plants to fill in the front hedge, so now I'm just farming them to satisfy my own craziness. Maybe I'll give 'em to friends or whatever...although I would like to have a supply on hand for when we move to a new house..



This lil' bitty is a transplant from my parent's house.. it was just a teeny sprig, probably from a bird poo or something. I rescued it from the mower back in April or May..I think. It's been trimmed a time or two, just to beef it up some and encourage side growth.
They're everywhere...here's a couple of dinky ones I found under some forsythia bushes.. it's so crazy that these tiny tots could one day be almost 20 feet tall and substantial enough to reduce the serverity of an auto accident .. if they happened to be growing between a tree and an out of control auto.
