hey andy - back at my last house on parkwood, a tiny sprout arose beneath my son's sliding board. when i took the swingset down, ashley would not let me pull the thing up. i staked it and put protective wire around it. it grew and grew and i trimmed it and pruned it and it grew even more. now, that yard as a nearly twenty foot privet tree in it, providing shade and a home for birds and squirrels and such. now, at our new home, we have privet hedges flanking our house and a row of privets dividing us from the evil developers next door. we are privetites! - ken
I can't take credit for the photo. It's from http://www.tuinkrant.com. I don't know the language.
